New York Mets righthander John Maine left Saturday’s 9-4 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies in the sixth inning with a cramp in his left forearm.

Mets right-hander John Maine left Saturday night’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies in the sixth inning with a cramp in his left forearm. Maine threw a fastball to Ryan Howard and walked off the mound holding the elbow on his non-throwing arm. He took a couple of warmup pitches and decided he couldn’t continue.
